Outdoor Learning

At Leavening we have our own wildlife and Forest School site. This enhances our science curriculum and allows children to access nature.

Forest Schools Power Point

At Leavening, we are very lucky to be situated in the heart of the country side and we use this to our advantage. Outdoor learning is heavily promoted here in a number of ways. We like to take the classroom outside as much as possible and believe that children learn best through being active and engaged. Our Early Year classrooms have access to extensive, high quality outdoor provision recognised by the local authority as outstanding. Many other schools in our cluster come and visit our Early Years setting as an example of best practice.
