School Admissions

We have one admission date for all children following their fourth birthday: September.  This is consistent with many other schools in the area and has proved to be the best option for our children’s learning. However parents should be aware that;

  • parents can request that the date their child is admitted to the school is deferred until later in the school year or until the child reaches compulsory school age in that school year;
  • parents can request that their child attends part-time until the child reaches compulsory school age.

Here at Leavening Community Primary School, we offer a creative curriculum where learning is personalised for individual children and takes place both indoors and outdoors. The learning environment in our infant classroom and outdoor learning area allows children to learn through play throughout key stage one and is enjoyed by our very youngest children.

Nursery Admissions

Unlike School Admissions, we are able to take Nursery children from the start of the term after they have had their third birthday.

Nursery hours are currently:

Monday 9.00am to 12noon and 1.00pm to 3.15pm

Tuesday CLOSED

Wednesday 9.00am to 12noon and 1.00pm to 3.15pm

Thursday 9.00am to 12noon

Friday 9.00am to 12noon and 1.00pm to 3.15pm

Nursery children have the option of staying for an extra hour for lunch at the cost of £2.40 (for the lunchtime care) plus and price of the hot school lunch. However they may bring a packed lunch if you would prefer.

Admissions are governed by the Local Authority and parents have the option to appeal against their decisions.
